lurv sWhat are those little white marks on your fingernails that you get once in a while?
well yea i know what youre talking about..im not so sure what they are but my mom says if you have them you'll get married soon, i really dunno but i think it is kinda like a lack of vitaminWhat are those little white marks on your fingernails that you get once in a while?
Medically speaking, those little white marks that sometimes appear as dots or lines on the fingernail are known as leukonychia. There are several possible causes for the discoloration, but the most common are mild trauma, a fungal infection, skin conditions, or nutritional deficiencies
ur mom is rite its lack of cacium..start drinkin milk it will go
it's definatly not from lying and it's not lack of calcium all they bare is bruises you might notice people who work with there hands alot have them some people are more prone to bruising than others
Its a lack of some type of vitamin..
dont know but i got one now.
It means your body is short of a certain vitamin.
I was always told it was a lack of calcium, but that's not true. Your nails are made up mostly of keratin and those little white patches are similar to bruises that you get on your skin. Basically you've hit or in some other way damaged your nail or nail bed in some way. Toatally harmless and they grow out in 6-10 weeks. The medical name for them is 'leukonychia'.Occasionally, a few white spots on fingernails may indicate an allergic reaction to a product used on the nail, such as nail polish, hardener, or polish remover. A rare cause is zinc deficiency, but other symptoms would also be present such as hair loss.
they are more than likely, the result of a trauma to the nail and are very common. Occasionally they may indicate a zinc deficiency or in some cases they can also indicate liver or kidney disease. In most cases, you simply injured the nail and it will disappear as the nail grows out
omg i thought it was only me that got them!! um i was told its lack of calcium!!
