Weird thing with the sides of my fingernails?

So every once and a while, about once a month one of the sides of my fingernails will start to swell up and become rather tender. when i press down on it it almost pops like a zit and a yellow, rather thick, puss will come out. anyone have this happen to them or have any idea what it might be or what might cause it?Weird thing with the sides of my fingernails?

the yellow ooozz is going to me dead white blood cells. the white blood cells in the body, try to fight off infection... therefore, you must have an infection in the area, most likely under the nail. the color being yellow also points to an infection. you also might have an ingrown hair under the surface. though the hair may not be in a normal spot on your body, it still could be the cause.
It's caused by hangnails, they get infected easily if you don't keep them cut.


Do a good job trimming your nails or go get a manicure and you shouldn't get them anymore.
